Individual Therapy for Adults in Georgia
The therapist who helps you stoke your own inner fire, so you can create anew.
Whether it’s trauma, depression, perfectionism, anxiety, or grief that’s making it hard to get out of your own way, I’ll support you in making new connections in your mind—so you can move forward, and live the life you truly want to live.
Hi! I’m Christine Lucas, LPC, CCTP, CGIP, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Certified Grief-Informed Provider and therapist working with adults in Georgia.
No matter your profession, background or role, you’re changing. You may feel pulled to something new; a new identity or job, or life has thrust you into a new situation, such as solo parenting or caregiving.
You might simply recognize that there’s room to grow—there are parts of you that are not seeing fruition, not being expressed.
You might be feeling underqualified, scared, overwhelmed, and not ready to experience the emotions—let alone the tasks—involved in this new role.
Are you ready to see yourself in a new light?
Change is scary, but I can help by highlighting your talents and strengths during this time of change, so you can reimagine yourself and move from a place of possibility.
specializing in
-
Depression & Anxiety
I work with clients all over Georgia who benefit from support for their depression and anxiety. Interventions such as DBT, CBT, Polyvagal Theory, and Internal Family Systems work with what's going on inside and out, so you meet your goals.
-
Grief
As a Certified Grief-Informed Provider, I provide accurate empathy to diverse experiences of grief, help remove imposed barriers to grieving, and support clients accessing paths to healing.
-
Trauma
As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (L1), I assess clients for patterns of trauma symptoms, provide psychoeducation to help you engage with yourself and others, and teach you skills for new patterns of healing and emotional regulation.
When we work together I’m going to help your day begin on a lighter note.
I’ll help you craft a routine to get into the present moment that includes relaxed muscles, curious thoughts, and intentional choices.
We’ll talk about how the closeness to pets and loved ones warms your heart…how the body asks for things like food, sunlight, novelty, and the give-and-take of conversation. We’ll talk about what is too much too soon, and learn how to come back to calm.I will help you notice progress, and we’ll chat in advance about clear ways to measure it. I will be the spotlight for patterns that are no longer useful, and the praise when you’re being a little too hard on yourself.
When we work together you will learn to build trust with yourself, and you’ll recall how good you were to yourself yesterday. I will teach you to find that feeling needed to greet all that happens today.

Healing life’s wounds stirs emotions, but I am good at helping clients feel comfortable in session.
I do my part to create a therapeutic alliance where it’s okay to joke and speak frankly. I consider the multiple demographics in which you fall, but I recognize you gain from using an individual and collective perspective as needed.
I love diving into research on my clients’ particular needs, and seek feedback from clients regularly.
